- No accounts, no sign-up, and no cookies on this website.
- We count visits with Cloudflare's privacy-first analytics: no cookies, no fingerprinting, nothing that identifies you.
- The mooch app sends nothing to us. Your code and API keys stay on your computer, except what you send to the AI providers you choose.

1. Who is responsible
This website is run by the mooch team, an independent open-source project based in Brazil ("we", "us"). For any privacy question or request, write to contact@mooch.dev. This address is also our channel for the data protection officer role ("encarregado", under Brazil's LGPD).
2. What the website collects
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It doesn't use cookies or any other storage on your device, and it doesn't fingerprint visitors or follow you across sites. It shows us totals such as:
- which pages were viewed, and which sites sent visitors here (referrers);
- browser, operating system and device type;
- country, worked out from the IP address;
- page load speed.
We see these only as totals. We can't tell who you are, and we don't sell this data or use it for advertising.
Hosting
The website is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives your IP address and basic request details when your browser loads the site, and uses them to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Downloads
Installers are downloaded from GitHub, which receives your IP address and request details when you download. GitHub counts downloads per file; we see only those totals. See the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Emails you send us
If you write to contact@mooch.dev, Cloudflare Email Routing forwards your message to our inbox. We use your email address and message only to reply to you.
No third-party trackers
Fonts and scripts are served from this website, apart from Cloudflare's analytics script. We don't use advertising trackers, social media pixels or cookie-based analytics.
3. What the mooch app collects
Nothing is sent to us. The mooch app has no account and no telemetry. Your code, prompts and API keys stay on your computer.
When you use mooch, your prompts and the code mooch needs go directly from your computer to the AI providers you set up, using your own accounts. Those providers handle that data under their own privacy policies and terms, which we don't control. Please read them, especially before sending private or sensitive code.
4. Why we may use it
We use website analytics to see how the site is used and how many people download mooch, so we can improve both. The analytics only show us totals, so we can't identify you. To the extent any of it counts as personal data, our legal basis is legitimate interest (LGPD art. 7, IX; GDPR art. 6(1)(f)), and because it's this minimal, it doesn't override your rights. You can object at any time (see section 7), or block analytics with a browser setting or content blocker. The site works the same either way.
5. Who processes it
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA) hosts the website, provides the analytics and forwards email.
- GitHub (GitHub, Inc., USA) serves the installer downloads.
These companies may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses (LGPD art. 33; GDPR art. 46). We don't share data with anyone else unless the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it
Analytics totals are kept by Cloudflare for a limited time under its own retention rules; we don't copy them anywhere else. We keep emails only as long as we need them to help you. Cloudflare and GitHub keep their own logs according to their privacy policies.
7. Your rights
Under the LGPD (art. 18) and, if you're in the EU or EEA, the GDPR, you can ask us to:
- confirm whether we process data about you, and give you access to it;
- correct, anonymize, block or delete it;
- move it to another service (portability);
- tell you who we share it with;
- stop processing it, if you object to our legitimate-interest use.
Because analytics data is anonymous, we often won't be able to link it to you, but we'll always reply. Write to contact@mooch.dev. You can also complain to Brazil's data protection authority, the ANPD, or, in the EU, to your local supervisory authority.
8. Children
This website and mooch are not aimed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data about children.
9. Changes
If what we collect changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
10. Contact
